FAQ
How quickly can I finish this course?
The course is designed to take the equivalent of eight (8) hours. The online portion of the course is four (4) hours and the classroom portions is also four (4) hours. The great thing, however, is that while online you can work at your own pace. We do not have anyone sitting over your shoulder to make sure you keep up. Everyone reads at different speeds, and the online portion will allow you to proceed at your own pace with no time maximum for the program. The average completion time varies on your reading ability, but it should never take longer than an actual sit-down class.
How long does it take to get the certificate?
You will receive your certificate of completion by the course instructor once you've completed the classroom portion of the program.
Does the course cost anything?
It costs $60.00 to attend Affordable Remedial Driving, which will cover all elements of the course, including immediate access to the site, classroom attendance and the completion certificate. Regular in-class remedial driving courses charge similar fees. Remedial driving courses are a privately operated industry, and whether you sit in a class or choose this online program, you will need to pay for it.
Is the court fee the same as the remedial driving school fees?
All fees you paid to the court are separate from fees paid for actual remedial driving instruction. Affordable Remedial Driving is privately owned and operated and does charge a fee....as do all traffic schools.
How can I pay for the course?
You can pay for the course two different ways: credit card or check/money order. For a credit card payment, you will be linked to a completely secure credit card page after you fill out the registration form. The site is encrypted to make your on-line purchase safe. The other way to pay for the course is to mail a check or money order to the address listed on our contact page. Make sure to send the check before you complete the online portion or you will not be permitted to attend the classroom portion of the course.
What if my deadline for completion of the remedial driving course has passed?
Contact your court directly for instructions regarding extensions of your due date. Affordable Remedial Driving cannot extend your due date.

I just got knocked off line in the middle of a section. What do I do now?
Many Internet users are knocked off line frequently. This may result from a lost Internet connection, another call interrupting your connection if you are on a single line with call waiting, or simply because your own computer crashes. Remember, as you complete each section of the course, your progress is logged. Completion of chapter one, for example, cannot be lost if your answers are submitted to the system and graded on screen. Being knocked off line at that point will only bring you back to the start of the next chapter; it will not delete chapter one. Our website is unable to control your Internet connection, so any inactivity on your part will not result in our system knocking you off line. Any activity requirements will be on the part of your Internet service provider.
Are there any special computer or download requirements to participate in the course?
There are no videos to download in our program and no special requirements at all of your computer. If you are on this screen and on our website, you can enroll and complete the course without a problem.
What happens if I fail the final? Can I take it again?
The final exam will be given at the end of the classroom potion. You may take the final two (2) times. If you do not pass the final test on your second attempt, you will be disqualified from the program without a possibility of a refund, but you will have the option to start from the beginning at the full tuition price.
